GLOW UP GUIDE FOR 2025⠀
Tumblr media
READ: On average, it takes more than 2 months before a new behavior becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact. And considering that 2025 is precisely these many days away, why not start with our glow up plan already?
Tumblr media
Physical Glow Up-
BODY
— 5-10K steps a day.
— 7-8 hours of sleep.
— workout everyday for 1 hr atleast- yoga/stretching/pilates/cardio/lifting weights. a workout may take one hour, but your mood will be boosted for the next 12 hours.
— posture training.
— sunlight exposure after waking up for at least 10 minutes.
NUTRITION
— 2-3 liters of water every day.
— limit your caffeine intake.
— avoid sugars as much as you can.
— high protein diet, pre and probiotics.
— more fruits and veggies (+ green smoothies if you like).
— no junk/processed food/trans fat.
— no eating after 8 pm.
SKINCARE
— be clear on your skin type (oily, dry, combination, sensitive).
— once you're clear, use these accordingly- cleanser, toner, targeted serum, eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen (≥50 spf).
— keep your bedding clean as well.
— no picking of skin on your lips, cuticle etc.
— gua sha to help improve blood circulation and lessen toxins.
— cold therapy may take three to five minutes of being uncomfortable, but your energy levels will be boosted for the rest of the day.
— remove makeup before you go to bed.
BODY CARE
— shower every day.
— exfoliate 2x a week.
— use body lotion (shea butter/aloe vera gel/coconut oil).
HAIR CARE
— wash hair 2-3x a week
— oil your scalp 2x a week, at least 3 hours before shampoo.
— hair mask 1x per week.
— never brush wet hair.
— use silk pillow case.
HYGIENE
— brush your teeth 2x a day, clean tongue and the roof of the mouth daily.
— floss daily.
— cut your nails 1x a week, never remove the cuticles.
— glycolic acid under arm for odor and discoloration.
— never use soap on your coochie.
Tumblr media
Mental Glow Up-
MINDSET
— set clear goals- define and breakdown your aspirations.
— start your mornings with positive affirmations.
— surround yourself with uplifting content and people.
— be shamelessly selfish to your career and mental health, remove anyone or anything that doesn't align with your priorities and wellbeing.
— boost your brain health by these 4 neuroscience tools:
difficult first: start your day with the most difficult task (cortisol and dopamine are high in the body meaning that your body/mind is primed to work).
rest your eyes: introduce a micro-pause after learning by resting/closing your eyes - will help retain information better.
tomorrow's worries: write tomorrow's to-do list before bed as it is proven to be effective in helping you fall asleep.
find time to play: engage in low-stake play. can be anything you find fun but where the outcome doesn't matter (induces neuroplasticity + reduces stress).
MIND
— meditation might take as low as ten minutes, but your focus will be improved for the rest of the day.
— no social media after waking up and at least an hour before bed.
— keep aside 1 hr of time to read daily! reading a new book may take five hours, but you will keep the knowledge forever.
— journaling, gratitude.
— digital detox once a week or for 12 hours.
— limit unnecessary screentime, unfollow or cut off people you don't want to see.
JOURNALING
— choose a regular time each day to journal, making it a part of your routine.
— find a quiet, comfortable place free from distractions. light a candle if you want.
— allow your thoughts to flow without censoring or editing.
— write about your feelings and emotions to understand them better. write about things you are thankful for to boost your mood. write about your short-term and long-term goals. identify what triggers certain emotions or reactions
— set a timer for 5-10 minutes and write continuously during that time.
— reflect on both positive experiences and challenges.
— make lists, journal your thoughts on these questions.
— journal at night to clear your mind before bedtime, because emotions and thoughts lose their power once we acknowledge them.
— a gratitude practice may take five minutes, but your mindset will be shifted for the rest of the day.
AFFIRMATIONS
— customise affirmations to your needs.
Tumblr media
Personal Life-
WEEKLY TASKS
— initiate small changes: begin with small, manageable tasks such as making your bed or cleaning your room every sunday.
— celebrate your success: reward yourself when you achieve your goals or have a consistently productive week. consider treats like buying flowers for yourself or watching your favorite show.
DAILY WORK
— set achievable goals: establish realistic goals for the day, week, or month ahead.
— track your progress.
— organise your work space, declutter your shelves etc.
— embrace the power of lists: keep a list of tasks to be done and their deadlines. this way, you start each day with a clear plan. to make it visually appealing and motivating, consider using productivity apps like evernote, habit tracker, or notion.
PRODUCTIVITY TIPS
— wake up early.
— plan ahead everything, do scheduling. you can use:
google calendar / notion / tasks .
— if the task takes less than 2 minutes to finish, do it immediately.
— countdown rule, if you are procrastinating, count 1-2-3-4-5 and jump.
— start slow, don't rush and try to do everything at one time.
— follow a proper routine, use app locks based on screentime.
— pomodoro technique, 25 min work, and 5 min break.
— schedule longer break times as well e.g 30 min nap.

"She sounds so familiar..."
Goap x reader situation where you're kind of seeing both of them at the same time without them knowing :/
Soap brings you up first. Talks about how he met this sweet thing at a bar one night.
"Gorgeous, curvy, an kind o a brat."
Ghost barely cares, Soap isn't even sure he's listening. He keeps going though, just excited to talk about you;
"Nice place; dark green silk sheets, vanilla candles, made a curated playlist jus for me."
Ghost pauses for a moment before he continues cleaning his boots.
"Fuckin perfect bird she is. Skin smells like shea butter. Got this cute little beauty mark on her left ass cheek. E'en got herself a gold chain wi ma name."
"She from the states?"
Ghost asks, setting his boots down.
"New York." Johnny nods, smiling.
"Tattoo on her left wrist?"
Ghost's mouth twitches, staring at the floor.
"Peonies...her favorite..."
Johnny's mouth goes dry. Simon stares at him, his eyes dark.
"You know 'er?"
Johnny swallows, knowing the answer already.
"Better than Jesus did his disciples."
Simon's voice is chilling. There's a tense moment. Soap feels like he could get crushed by the sheer weight of Simon's gaze alone.
"Let's go pay her a visit, hm?"
Simon doesn't wait for an answer from Johnny; it wasn't a question anyways.
You get a text from Soap:
"Outside :)"
'What a welcomed surprise' you think to yourself. You smile and walk to the door. Much to your shock and horror, there they both are on the other side.
"Greedy little thing, aren't you?"

Spent the early hours waterpiking and teeth whitening, doing my skincare routine, applying a face and chest masque and a lip masque, dry brushing myself head to toe, doing my lymphatic massage routine, sugar waxing every single hair from my body, wet exfoliating with a sugar scrub and then with a shower net, using an antibacterial bar soap and then a body wash, double exfoliating my feet with a pumice stone, spritzing myself with glycolic acid, applying PFB vanish to my bikini line and legs, applying body oil, coating my feet in Vaseline, drowning my skin in shea butter, brushing brow and lash serum on, and applying Vitamin E oil to my cuticles. I’m spending the rest of the day relaxing.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
A complete guide to hand care for the porcelain dolls among us
While you certainly don't need ten steps involving harsh exfoliation, that weird red serum from the Ordinary or baking your hands in plastic gloves, taking care of your hands can be very rewarding, seeing as you essentially stare at them all day every day.
Let's clear some misinformation: you cannot make your fingers physically longer, no matter how many hand exercises you do. The length of your fingers is reliant on your genetics, and what kind of activities you did while your bones were still growing (Which is why pianists have such beautiful hands). You can, however, change the texture of your skin, correct hyperpigmentation and increase flexibility of and circulation in your hands.
Strategies
Before going to sleep, massage a hydrating moisturiser or lotion into your hands, and cover with cotton gloves. Alternatively, you could wait until the product is absorbed to go to bed.
Wear sunscreen: SPF 50 is best. Try to reapply after washing your hands, and every two hours if you're in the sun. UV rays cause 'photo-aging' (aka wrinkles, rough texture and moles) and can contribute to skin cancers. Use a non-comedogenic, mattifying sunscreen (As to not rub the product off when using your hands).
Keep nails trimmed, filed and at an appropriate length: If you play a string instrument, you know that long nails are a no-go. The same goes for gardening, volleyball, a job that involves typing, etc.
If your nails are stripy, this usually indicates a protein, vitamin A or zinc deficiency. Different people are more susceptible, but I recommend a well-rounded multivitamin supplement. (Or, better yet, improving your diet)
Ingredients to look for
Glycerin: a gentle and universally compatible humectant
Shea butter: a natural ingredient for deep hydration
vitamin E: an inflammatory antioxidant with natural sun protection
Ceramides: lipids naturally produced by the skin, which restore and maintain the skin barrier
Urea: combats roughness and dry texture through its keratolytic properties.
SPF: at lest 30, to prevent photo-aging and skin cancers
+ Cotton gloves: synthetic materials like polyester aren't very breathable and can cause irritation
What to avoid
Exposing your hands to cleaning chemicals: wear rubber gloves when cleaning the kitchen, washing the dishes or the car.
Alcohol-based hand sanitizers: extremely drying to the skin, and can cause roughness and cracking.
Fragranced soaps: fragrance in any beauty product is a bad idea, as it is drying and an acne, rosacea and eczema trigger.
Biting at your fingernails: not only does this make your nails look unsightly, it is also very unhygienic, as dirt and germs accumulate underneath them throughout the day.
Picking at cuticles: consider a fidget / sensory toy to keep your hands busy.
Extra: how to do a hand massage
Massages improve circulation and relax muscles that we use strenuously. Almost everyone uses their hands all day to do all sorts of tasks, so this is universal.
Apply an oil, lotion or Vaseline to reduce friction
Press your thumb into your palm, and move in circles around the centre.
Take each finger at a time and close a fist around it, pressing down and sliding upwards, like you're getting toothpaste out of a tube.
Press your one thumb onto the muscle of the other, on your palm, and move around that muscle to relieve tension.
Press the very tips of your fingers between your index finger and thumb.
Anyhow, that's all. Hope you've found at least one thing helpful!

scent profile: Rose Galore 🌹
hi everyone, long time no see! recently i’ve become seriously interested in building my life around smelling like a bouquet of roses! it can be light & innocent, sensual & romantic, or dark & sultry. i’m popping in to do a scent profile to just gush over the stuff i’ve been lusting over. let’s get started 🌹
body wash ♀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i feel like these two products need no introduction, they’re so popular and for good reason! dr bronner’s is a straightforward rose. i like castile soap because it’s so versatile, but it can be a bit drying so a little goes a long way. “dilute dilute dilute,” as they say! lush’s rose jam is a delight! it has rose, lemon, argan, and vanilla which provokes a sweeter rose, brightened with the lemon, and also has some warmth. overall, these two are perfect bases for layering. 🌹
scrubs ♀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
scrubs! they just elevate your pampering routine, and scented scrubs are a perfect way to layer a scent. ren is a new brand to me but i do want to try this moroccan rose sugar body polish at some point. a sugar cane base, with damask rose to soften the skin and heart. herbivore’s coco rose is another moroccan rose scent scrub, however the coconut oil base leads me to think it’ll be a bit sweeter. furthermore, this scrub contains french pink clay so there’s an extra detoxing boost, lovely. 🌹
moisturizer ♀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i have a range for moisturizers and perfumes, tying back into my theme of exploring the interpretation of rose scents. for the innocent, we have eu’genia rose shea butter. i’ve tried the vanilla from this brand and it’s a lovely formula but still straight to the point. it provides a light rose scent but does wonders for moisturizing considering it has shea butter and blended oils. for a sensual rose, dionis (which is a pretty name btw) has their stargazer lily goat milk lotion. now i know you’re what you’re thinking, but this lotion includes lily, rose, amber and musk which just sounds divine together. (side note: they also have a titled Love lotion, which has jasmine, vanilla, and black currant, another heavenly floral which honestly could layer in among these stars). finally for a dark, sexy rose we have silk & noir’s rose and peppered plum body cream. now when i tell you this moisturizer is sultry. dark rose, plum, peppercorn, patchouli, vanilla. come on. i just imagine a beautiful, alluring woman wearing this! sounds so delicious. 🌹
perfume ♀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
time for my favorite category! i hate that i love perfume so much, but again i have choices based on style. rosie by rosie jane is a naked rose. dressed up in nothing but musk and a hint of vanilla, she’s bare. its the type of scent so personal it requires someone to be nuzzled into your nape to be experienced. i quite happen to like that. moving on we have the infamous diptyque and their eau rose edp. this is for rose lovers indeed, combining two different types of the flower, along with lychee, chamomile, and artichoke, surprisingly. overall, i find this to dip into the romantic side with its sweetness of the fruit and honeyed aroma of the chamomile. lastly for our deeper rose, we have heretic’s dirty rose! dirty rose is just that, naughty, with pink pepper, cedar, damascena rose, black currant, patchouli and vanilla. now if you’re like me and saw nosferatu recently, the perfume house has been the talk of the town. i’m also interested in a few other perfumes like coeur noir and the movie inspired perfume! 🌹
well, that’s it for me. i hope you enjoyed this post as much as i did making it. i haven’t made one of these in awhile so it felt good to be inspired and do it again!
thank you for reading, talk soon <3

smell is IMPORTANT. if you smell good, you appear more attractive (in my opinion) and the order you are washing yourself + applying smell goods matter also
first, bar soap. i recommend the dove sensitive skin bar soap, but people are like anti bacterial soaps also! wash your whole body with this before anything!
second, body scrub. i recommend only doing this twice a week max, maybe three. i really like the dove body scrubs (formerly body polishes) because they aren’t very grainy but still get the job done!
third, body wash. make sure the body wash you are using pairs with the body mist and perfume you are using later. i really like the native body washes and the dove body washes. DO NOT USE THIS ON YOUR PRIVATES!!!!
fourth, deodorant. only apply to clean skin, and make sure your armpits are completely dry before applying!
fifth, body lotion. just like the body wash, make sure your lotion pairs well with the scent of your body wash, body mist, and perfume, ALSO DO NOT APPLY THIS TO PRIVATES!!!!! apply to damp skin. this locks in moisture and makes your skin soft and hydrated. the eos body lotions smell so good and are very moisturizing!
sixth, body oil. oil should be applied after lotion, it locks in all of the moisture that the lotion is giving you. body oil makes a huge difference in your routine. once again, match this scent to any other scented products you are using. DO NOT APPLY THIS TO PRIVATES!!!!
seventh, body mist. apply directly after oil to ensure it stays (don’t be dumb, i shouldn’t have to tell you were to not apply it again) i like using anywhere from 5-7 sprays, but if it is strong smelling, maybe around 3-4!
eighth, perfume. this should always be the last step because it is what you want to smell most. it doesn’t need to be designer, as long as it smells good. the ariana grande perfumes are more on the cheaper side for perfumes, and the sabrina carpenter ones also smell very good and are the cheaper side of perfumes. apply this on the back of your neck, you want your scent trailing behind you, you want people to know it is you that is smelling so good. also apply it below the wrist, DO NOT RUB TOGETHER. your wrist touches everything, so do not apply to the wrist, it will wear off quickly. i like to add 1 spray to my chest but that is optional! i applied it like this and i could smell myself all day!
remember, if the laundry detergent you use doesn’t smell good, then neither do you!
here are some scent combos i recommend (only includes body mist and perfume, maybe some body wash and body scrub but i do not have the widest variety of those!)
combo #1
native sugar cookie body wash, victoria secret bare vanilla body mist, and ariana grande mod vanilla perfume.
combo #2
bath and body works gingham gorgeous body lotion, victoria secret velvet pedals candied body mist, and victoria secret bombshell seduction perfume.
combo #3
dove spiced chai latte body wash, victoria secret bare vanilla body mist, and viva la juicy perfume.
combo #4
dove pomegranate seeds and shea butter body scrub, pink warm and cozy body mist, and carolina herrera good girl blush elixer perfume.
combo #5
native sugar cookie body wash, victoria secret bare vanilla body mist, and eilish no.1 perfume.
combo #6
bath and body works gingham gorgeous body lotion, victoria secret warm and cozy body mist, and sabrina carpenter sweet tooth perfume.
combo #7
bath and body works gingham gorgeous body lotion, victoria secret warm and cozy body mist, and ariana grande sweet like candy perfume.
i hope this helps!
you're a DOLL

Tips for smelling like Vanilla and/or Strawberries all day? I have some lotion and body mist from Bath and Body works but I feel like it fades rly fast :(
I LOVE THIS QUESTION!!! EEEHHH!! Okay so! I’m a VANILLA GIRL and I used to be strawberry too!!
What you want to do is make sure your body wash and other products all match. FOR EXAMPLE I use dove vanilla and shea bar and liquid soap, then I exfoliate with a vanilla sugar scrub (homemade) and then eos vanilla shave cream and then fresh out of the shower I put on eos vanilla cashmere lotion and a dove vanilla and shea deodorant.
Now you don’t have to go as hard as me BUT!!! I can definitely help!!
DO YOUR HAIR FIRST!! You don’t want those oils and stuff going down your back after you just cleaned it and smell nice!
First things first to smell like vanilla and strawberries all day it starts in the shower! Get a bar soap that smells like vanilla, strawberry, or unscented. The bar soap is what actually cleans you! (Literally any dove bar soap will do but this smells HEAVENLY)
Next a vanilla strawberry shower gel! This would be your Walmart bodycology stuff! (This line is FANTASTIC for this!) the gel soap will clean you but is mostly to help deposit that scent!
Now you exfoliate! Sugar scrub, exfoliation glove, or African net sponge. (I use a net sponge bc they make it easier to SCRUB and get my back!) you don’t have to use a sugar scrub by any means if you don’t need one or don’t want one.
You can also make one by mixing 1 & 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup coconut oil (or any oil of your choice), and a body gel (I think I used a 1/2 cup for that too), I put vanilla extract (also homemade) and a vanilla essential oil (one full dropper or about 10-15 drops). I keep mine in the fridge and it works wonders for my skin.
Now would be the time to shave if you do!! It’s not necessary but I use eos 24 hour moisturizer shave cream in the vanilla bliss scent. Remember to always shave upwards and clean your razor after every few strokes.
At this point get out and don’t dry all the way off!! Apply a nice lotion (I use eos 24 hour vanilla cashmere but for you I’d recommend the body cology one from earlier or bath and body works strawberry pound cake!) then after this BABY OIL (or yk body oil that is strawberry or vanilla scented, the shea butter ones, any of those really) but OIL!! It keeps the lotions moisturize in and locks it away! Moisturized skin holds smell better!!
Now! Find a nice vanilla and strawberry perfume! PREFERABLY an eau de parfum but an eau de toilette is fine too!
This one is sooo goooddd my friend in highschool wore it everyday and OUGH so good and it lasted ACTUAL DAYS!
Go to the base notes and find vanilla, this is the dry down smell it’ll stay this way ALL DAY, middle notes are gonna stay for a long time too. This is where you’ll find vanilla or strawberry. Pick your favorite smell (fresh cream by philosophy would go SO WELL with the bodycology smells from earlier)
Once you have your perfume you want to put a THIN LAYER of Vaseline on your pulse points (inner elbow, wrists, behind the knee, ankles, and behind your ears and on the sides of your neck. Basically where you can see veins tbh) then spray your perfume on those points.
The body mist (bodycology spray, or your bbw scents) goes literally everywhere else! Chest, hair (spray your brush before brushing your hair), legs, shoulders etc etc. don’t be afraid of this one bc it’s made to dry down subtle (you grow nose blind to it but everyone else knows it’s there and it makes your scent more complex)
That’s kind of it! Other than increasing water intake (makes your sweat smell better, makes your body more hydrated, there’s so many benefits.) and like oral hygiene and that stuff that’s really it! I hope this helped!!

What shampoos I think the clones use:
Sekido: Dove, extra moisturizing. Has sensitive skin and uses Anything with Shea Butter because his cortisol levels make his skin extra dry :( So he always smells like shea and cocoa butter. His natural body scent kinda smells like cinnamon though so you can smell that under the moisturizers. This is a long way of saying Sekido smells really damn good and I would shove my face in his chest if I thought I could get away with it.
Aizetsu: Suave and Dove. Also sensitive skin AND sensitive nose- can't handle heavy smells. Uses anything hypoallergenic so he won't break out. Naturally smells sorta minty?? Karaku: Old spice, which is just axe for adults. Also uses axe body wash but ONLY the wild bamboo one. Triple conditions his hair and lets it soak for 5-10 minutes for maximum penetration (ha!) Uses off-brand axe fragrance spray (Umbro "Action" specifically because it blends well with Wild Bamboo Axe Naturally smells like pine and ginger. Urogi: I was really tempted to say hand soap for his hair, but I think he takes slightly better care of himself than that. Uses pet shampoo like Zymox so it doesn't hurt his fur, feathers, and scales. He steals Karaku's deodorant. Natural scent smells like fur and feathers, subtly earthy, and light spice.

to my fellow humans struggling with bfrbs (body focused repetitive behaviours):
you are not a monster, you are not disgusting or shameful, you are a person worthy of love and care and respect :)
About a week ago, I had one of the worst episodes of skin biting in months, I'm doing better now but I wanted to put some tips and reminders here!
I didn't know that there was terms for my behaviours until like a few months ago (even though this has been a thing since I was really young), since shame and stigma got in the way of anyone in my family actually doing any research/getting me help (i.e. i had to deal with it on my own :<)
[note: a lot of these are for dermatophagia/onychophagia since I can talk from personal experience, feel free to add your own advice!]
Water is a big thing that can be triggering, since it can reveal flaps of skin (when your skin absorbs the water and your skin goes wrinkly), so a lot of these revolve around water.
If the skin around your fingers is affected, go wash your hands immediately after an episode of the repetitive behaviour! Rinsing my mouth also helps sometimes.
go get yourself some (cheap) hand cream from your local drugstore. I always keep moisturiser on me to use after I was my hands/do the dishes/have a shower/anytime my hands feel dry
Wash the dishes with gloves/use a dishmatic/if you have a dishwasher and it doesn't cost too much to use you can use that
Try turning off the water in your shower whilst applying soap to your body. If showers are completely too triggering, flannels and deodorant (but at least try to shower if you've exercised/once every few days). Equally, washing your hands should be fine, but if not, then hand sanitiser (be careful of cuts though!)
I exfoliate around my fingers with brown sugar like once every two days if my fingers don't hurt, I'm not sure of the proven efficacy of it removing dead skin from the surface but it makes me feel good (it's a good replacement activity)
nail oils! jojoba oil is known to be good, but i used to use virgin olive oil because it's also good (and it was something I had at home). Right now I just use shea butter! just moisturise in any way possible!
There are some things that people say such as bitter nail solutions and gum, but I used to just chew right through those, so remember that there is no one solution that works for everyone (some of these won't help you, and that's fine)
Plasters tend to stop air from getting to small cuts on your fingers so try not to use those (they weren't very helpful for me, at least)
When your hands start healing, gloves can help, but the fabric tends to catch onto skin/nails so be careful with that (and when you're putting on clothes in general)
Nail polish/rings if you like them! You shouldn't feel like you have to wait until your fingers are better before you can look nice :)
Knitting/fiddling with rings/making sure your doing something with your hands can be useful sometimes, but it's totally understandable if you just start with one little piece of skin and you end up like completely wrecking your fingers (when you start, you often can't stop)
Be aware of possible triggers. it's very hard to do this since sometimes episodes come out of nowhere, but I know i'm more likely to start biting my skin after stressful events or during task paralysis/when my brain is "stuck" (the logic is that my brain can be "stuck" on something else instead of all these impending things i have to do but can't get myself to start doing)
Remind yourself how much your hands help you to experience the world around you - You write, read, use technology, make and eat food, play your favourite games, hug your friends and create with your hands! You owe it to yourself to keep them safe and healthy where possible. Be compassionate with yourself (it will often be in spite of the way others treat you - but we are all here for you!)
talking about it can always help too with removing guilt/shame (I am always down to talk) and reading other posts on the tags here can feel v validating (@bfrb-culture-is has been so so helpful in making me feel less alone!)
I do hope this is helpful, this post is as much for me as it is for anyone else that comes across it <3
Have a good day~

African Skincare: Timeless Beauty Secrets from the Motherland
Long before the world raved about organic skincare, Africa had already mastered it. Rooted in rich traditions and passed down through generations, African skincare is more than just beauty—it’s a cultural legacy.
Where It All Began
African skincare traces back to ancient Egypt, where even Cleopatra swore by shea butter and black soap for her radiant skin. Over time, these beauty rituals spread across the continent, adapting to different climates and skin types.
The Ingredients That Stand the Test of Time
African skincare thrives on nature’s bounty. Shea butter, marula oil, baobab oil, black soap, and rooibos tea are just a few of the star ingredients. These aren’t just exotic names; they are powerhouses of hydration, anti-aging, and skin healing. Shea butter deeply moisturizes, marula oil fights wrinkles, and black soap gently exfoliates, making them essentials in African beauty regimens.
Who Uses It?
From the bustling streets of Lagos to the deserts of Morocco, African skincare caters to all skin types. Women, men, and even children embrace these remedies to protect against the harsh sun and dry winds. With the rise of clean beauty, even Western skincare brands are borrowing these age-old ingredients.
Then vs. Now: The Evolution of African Beauty
While traditional practices involved raw, unprocessed ingredients, modern African skincare blends science with heritage. Brands now infuse shea butter into lotions, black soap into face washes, and baobab into serums, making these treasures more accessible worldwide.
Why It Still Matters
With sustainability and natural beauty taking center stage, African skincare is no longer just a tradition—it’s the future. So, the next time you apply that rich shea butter, remember: you’re carrying forward a beauty ritual that has stood the test of time.
Glow like a queen. The African way.

Are we in agreement that if Ed does open an Inn, he'd have high quality soap provided for all skin types and hair types? Have that extra shea butter in it to make it smooth and not to dry you out? His inn renown for it's high quality soap, particularly the yummy lavender one, not the fact he used to be Blackbeard.

— workout everyday for 1 hr atleast - yoga/stretching/pilates/cardio. a workout may take one hour, but your mood will be boosted for the next 12 hours.
SKINCARE

— once you're clear, use these accordingly- cleanser, toner, targeted serum, eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen (≥50 spf).
— keep your bedding clean as well.
— no picking of skin on your lips, cuticle etc.

안녕하세요 cutie patooties! Today I’m going to go over my hand care routine, both daily and weekly ^-^ hand care is so important and although you don’t necessarily need to do these things, I love doing it to keep my hands so soft and youthful <3
Let’s give these precious little paws the love and care they deserve with a super kawaii hand care routine! Here’s how to pamper your hands and keep them irresistibly soft and charming every day! 🎀✨
Tumblr media
Morning Hand care routine ⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡
Exfoliate and cleanse ✮ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°✩
Exfoliation is a vital step in your morning routine to keep your hands looking and feeling silky smooth. I usually use my hello kitty scrub cause it’s hydrating too <3
Serum ✮ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°✩
Serums can be a game-changer in maintaining youthful and radiant hands. Look for a serum specifically formulated for hands, packed with ingredients like hyaluronic acid or vitamin C to boost hydration and combat signs of aging.
After Cleansing: Once your hands are cleansed and exfoliated, take a small amount of your preferred kawaii hand serum onto your fingertips. Dot the serum onto the back of one hand, then gently massage it into both hands using upward motions, focusing on areas that may show signs of aging or dryness.
Hand Cream ✮ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°✩
Using a nourishing hand cream in your morning routine is essential for maintaining soft, hydrated, and youthful-looking hands throughout the day. Look for a hand cream enriched with hydrating ingredients like shea butter, glycerin, or almond oil for maximum moisture.
SPF ✮ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°✩
Don’t forget to extend your sunscreen application to your hands! UV rays can cause premature aging, dark spots, and skin damage, making it crucial to apply a dedicated hand-specific SPF.

Hand care tips <3
Regular Hydration: Keep your hands hydrated throughout the day by applying hand cream frequently, especially after washing your hands, to prevent dryness.
Gentle Cleansing: Use mild, moisturizing hand washes or cleansers to cleanse your hands without stripping away natural oils.
Sun Protection: Apply a hand-specific SPF daily to shield your hands from harmful UV rays and prevent premature aging and sun damage.
Cuticle Care: Nourish and moisturize your cuticles regularly with cuticle oil or cream to maintain healthy, neat-looking nails.
Exfoliation: Incorporate gentle exfoliation once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells and reveal smoother hands.
Wear Gloves: Protect your hands from harsh chemicals, cold weather, or household chores by wearing gloves to maintain their softness.
Balanced Diet: Consume a diet rich in vitamins and antioxidants to promote overall skin health, benefiting your hands as well.
Stay Hydrated: Drink enough water daily to keep your skin, including your hands, properly hydrated from the inside out.
Avoid Harsh Soaps: Steer clear of harsh soaps or sanitizers that may dry out your hands excessively, causing irritation.
Until next time jellybeans <3
